WWE News: "Owen Hart should be in the WWE Hall Of Fame" - Bret Hart

Bret says more deserving people must get inducted into the Hall Of Fame.

In an interview with Alfred Konuwa of Forbes, Bret Hart has revealed that he wants to see his brother Owen Hart being inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame and he believes that there are many wrestlers who have not been given the credit that they deserve and some have been given the credit that they don’t deserve.

He singled out the “Freebirds” on not being deserving enough to get into the Hall Of Fame due to their notoriety, mentioning an incident where they allegedly got drunk, passed out at a gate at an airport and were almost fired. Rick Rude, The Rougeau Brothers and The British Bulldog are the stars that Hart believes should be in the WWE Hall Of Fame.

He is campaigning to get Owen into the WWE Hall Of Fame. He believes his brother has done plenty enough to deserve a place in the coveted group.

Aftermath the death of Owen there was bad blood between the Hart Family and the WWE, where the Hart Family sued WWE and were paid $18 million dollars as compensation. Although it appears that the hatchet is buried but that’s not the case since Owen’s wife Martha, still carries hate towards WWE and Wrestling along with the fans who watch it.

She refuses to let anyone remember Owen or recognise his contributions.

Bret Hart, however, believes that even after all these years there still appears to be a black cloud hovering over Owen and he wants to clear that, He believes that the perfect way to clear it is through a Hall Of Fame induction. He also wishes that Owen’s kids could learn about their dad and get to know what a great man he was.

Apart from Bret Hart, their sister Diana Hart Smith appeared on the show IN THE ROOM and spoke about her thoughts on the inclusion of Owen Hart into the WWE Hall Of Fame by saying:

“I sure hope [Owen goes in]. I think the fans deserve it because they loved Owen.”

Before this year’s Hall Of Fame, Smith Hart spoke on Uproxx on his thoughts of Owen Hart not getting included by stating

In talking to Bret, I can confirm that WWE will NOT be inducting Owen, Davey, Blue Blazer or even as Bret and I suggested, of inducting the entire Hart Foundation as a unit this year in Dallas for their fictional Hall of Fame. This once again proves that WWE’s Hall of Fame is nothing more than profiteering, grandstanding and political BS. ”
