Carmella shows off gruesome injury from WWE live event; Zelina Vega reacts

As WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross so adequately put it, wrestling isn't ballet. RAW Superstar Carmella found this out firsthand at a WWE Live event this weekend.

The WWE Women's Tag Team Champions and Doudrop took on the team of Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan, and Rhea Ripley at the Live Event on Saturday, which saw Belair's team come out on top. Unfortunately for 'Mella, it appears that she lost more than just the match.

The self-proclaimed "Most Beautiful Woman in all of WWE" took to social media this morning to reveal that some of her hair was ripped out of her scalp during the match, which seems to have caused some bleeding as well.

'Mella tried to play off the injury with a joke on social media, tweeting out:

"Be a lady wrestler, they said... it will be fun, they said.. *face with hand-bandage emoji*," Carmella tweeted.

'Mella's tag team partner Queen Zelina offered her support on social media, tweeting a message of support to her fellow titleholder:

"@CarmellaWWE Despite that, you're still the most beautiful woman in WWE! Not even close!" Zelina Vega tweeted.

'Mella has recently been wearing a mask over her face to protect her features in matches on WWE programming. It will be interesting to see if an injury such as this will make her consider wearing a full mask a la Rey Mysterio instead.

Carmella and Zelina are set to defend their WWE Women's Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania 38. Their opponents for the triple threat bout are the teams of Naomi & Sasha Banks and Liv Morgan & Rhea Ripley. Let's hope they tone down the hair-pulling at The Show of Shows.
