CM Punk shared an interesting claim about the women's division in WWE ahead of Survivor Series 2024. The Second City Saint returned in the final moments of this past Friday's episode of SmackDown and will be in action at the premium live event on November 30.
The former AEW World Champion took to his Instagram story today to make a bold claim about the women's division in the company. He shared a video of Bayley, Naomi, Rhea Ripley, and Damage CTRL's IYO SKY making their way backstage during this past Friday's edition of the blue brand. Punk claimed that the stars in the division were crazy and that he would never mess with them. You can check out Punk's NSFW message on Instagram by clicking here.
"I'm not f***** with these crazy a**es," wrote Punk.
CM Punk returned with Paul Heyman on SmackDown and was revealed to be the OG Bloodline's final teammate in the Men's WarGames Match at WWE Survivor Series. Roman Reigns and the 46-year-old had a staredown after clearing the ring of Solo Sikoa's faction on SmackDown.
Vince Russo suggests WWE star was "screwed" by CM Punk being booked for the WarGames match
Former WWE writer Vince Russo recently suggested that the company "buried" Seth Rollins by having CM Punk be revealed as Roman Reigns' final teammate at Survivor Series.
Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling's BroDown show, available via Backstage Pass, Russo suggested that the company screwed Seth Rollins over by not having him compete in the WarGames Match at the premium live event next weekend. The veteran also claimed that Punk teaming with the OG Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series does not make sense in terms of storyline.
"Now with Punk being the fifth guy, what did they do? They buried Rollins. They one hundred percent buried their babyface. Bronson joined The Bloodline; they wind up screwing Rollins, and Rollins ain't gonna be in the match. So they one thousand percent screwed their babyface. It was so obvious. So now they pull CM Punk out of their backside to get the pop, but it makes zero sense storyline-wise." [From 3:48 onwards]
CM Punk and Seth Rollins had a confrontation on the October 7 edition of WWE RAW. It will be fascinating to see how Rollins reacts to Punk agreeing to compete alongside Reigns during tomorrow night's episode of the red brand.
