Congratulations are in order for WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio on achieving a major feat amid his absence from in-ring action due to injury. The legendary luchador received a huge honor last night.
The 50-year-old cut a promo in Mexican to kick-start Worlds Collide. While the WWE Hall of Famer was on his way to the squared circle, Corey Graves on commentary pointed out that the National Hispanic Media Coalition honored Mysterio with the Legend Impact Award last night. The company shared an X/Twitter post about the same.
"There's no better way to kick off #WorldsCollide! @reymysterio was honored by the @NHMC last night and received the Legend Impact Award!" read the post.

Rey Mysterio had been away from WWE programming after he tore his groin on the go-home edition of SmackDown before WrestleMania 41. He was scheduled to wrestle El Grande Americano at The Showcase of The Immortals. However, the veteran was replaced by Rey Fenix, who lost the bout.
In a recent interview, the Master of the 619 revealed that he was also recovering from a busted eardrum. Only time will tell when Rey Mysterio returns to in-ring action. It will be interesting to see if he goes back to feuding with El Grande Americano after making the much-awaited return.
