Former WWE head writer Vince Russo was not impressed with Becky Lynch's promo on the latest episode of RAW.
The Man has been embroiled in a feud with Trish Stratus ever since the latter turned heel on her last month. The duo came face-to-face on this week's RAW to sign the contract for their match at Night of Champions.
During the war of words between them, Becky Lynch told the Hall of Famer that she has a career that the latter would only dream of, while Trish has done things that would give her nightmares.
The promo did not sit well with Vince Russo, who pointed out on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Legion of RAW that Trish Stratus is one of the most successful women in WWE history:
"There is another blatant Becky heel lying in this promo. Becky said in this promo, 'I have been able to have a career that you can only dream of.' Bro, that's a heel line. Trish has had a phenomenal career. She had a tremendous career and you've got the babyface saying this. Now you're lying Becky, that is a lie. Babyfaces are not supposed to lie. Say what you want about Trish in 2023, this woman had an unbelievable career. So why is a babyface saying that?"
The wrestling veteran also called Becky Lynch a liar:
"You got to watch these lines because this is really clouding the issues. I pick that up right away, I literally played it back because I was like, 'Did you really say that?' Now you're a liar. The woman had an unbelievable career." [1:16:03 - 1:17:23]

Vince Russo commented on Becky Lynch's attire on WWE RAW
Becky Lynch donned peculiar glasses during her appearance on the red brand, which was reminiscent of her Big Time Becks gimmick. During the same episode of Legion of RAW, Vince Russo pointed out the flaw with the attire:
"We're back to cosplaying man. I thought we were over that. Again, if I'm writing this show and this went down the way it did, with Trish turning on Becky, I am not cosplaying, I am pissed. I am really upset and I am out for blood, I'm not cosplaying at this point." [1:17:32 - 1:17:59]
Becky Lynch and Trish Stratus will finally get a chance to settle their differences inside the squared circle at WWE Night of Champions. It will be the Hall of Famer's first singles match since SummerSlam 2019.
