Factions have been the norm in WWE ever since Triple H took control of the company's creative. However, a major stable has now officially split following what happened at the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event.
Solo Sikoa was one of the participants in the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match at the namesake PLE. The former NXT North American Champion was on the verge of winning the briefcase when he was stopped by fellow faction member Jacob Fatu. The Samoan Werewolf prevented his family member from winning the high-stakes match after weeks of tension between the two.
With Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa no longer together, the Bloodline faction has officially split. It is the first time since the group was formed by Roman Reigns that no two Samoans are on the same side. It is still to be seen where the Tongans' loyalty lies when Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa make their return to WWE.
Possible direction for Jacob Fatu after huge turn at WWE Money in the Bank
Jacob Fatu has been booked as an unstoppable force since making his WWE debut. While The Samoan Werewolf showed undying loyalty to Solo Sikoa initially, things seemingly changed between the two after the latter lost the Tribal Combat to Roman Reigns.
After weeks of dissension within the group, Jacob Fatu finally turned on Solo Sikoa and cost him the Money in the Bank match. With many wondering what's next in the ongoing saga, veteran journalist Bill Apter suggested that the United States Champion could align with Jey Uso or The Usos.
"Something nobody's probably filled up, but now with Jacob Fatu as a babyface, as a good guy, maybe he will align himself with Jey Uso. Or with Jey and Jimmy Uso," Apter said.
This will be the first time in WWE that Jacob Fatu will be working as a babyface. The Samoan Werewolf has impressed fans with his athletic abilities and dominant wrestling style. While he currently holds the United States Championship, fans have been eagerly waiting for him to become a world champion in the Stamford-based promotion.
