Eric Bischoff has finally commented on the death of his close friend Hulk Hogan. The former RAW General Manager appeared on The Story with Martha MacCallum on FOX News Channel and talked about Hogan's passing in detail.
Yesterday, Hulk Hogan passed away at 71 after being taken to a hospital following a cardiac arrest call. Hogan transcended pro-wrestling, and numerous mainstream media outlets picked up the news of his passing.
Eric Bischoff, Hogan's real-life friend, appeared on FOX News tonight. Here's what the former WCW President said about Hogan's death:
“I’m in shock. It still hasn’t really set in. I learned this morning about Hulk’s passing, ironically, while watching FOX News. I’m in Las Vegas and scheduled to shoot some interviews here with some of our wrestlers from Real American Freestyle. And I got a text that let me know something was going on. And five minutes later, I was in my room and I’m watching FOX News and got the news. And I have literally been on the phone or responding to texts and e-mails ever since. It hasn’t truly sunk in yet.” [H/T 411Mania]

Eric Bischoff had nothing but praise for his longtime friend Hulk Hogan
Bischoff and Hogan made history back in the mid-'90s, courtesy of the nWo angle. The storyline was incredibly popular and helped WCW reach new heights of popularity, almost forcing Vince McMahon's WWE out of business. Things later went downhill for WCW, and McMahon bought the promotion in early 2001.
Bischoff said Hogan was incredibly generous and a loyal person. As per him, Hulk was one of the kindest people he had ever met. It's pretty clear that Bischoff is severely affected by Hogan's passing, as the two veterans were incredibly close in real life.
