Hikuleo made his WWE debut ahead of tonight's edition of SmackDown. The veteran signed with the Stamford-based promotion last year.
The 34-year-old made a name for himself in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and is a former Strong Openweight Champion. He has also captured the Strong Openweight Tag Team Championship twice and the IWGP Tag Team Title alongside El Phantasmo during his time in NJPW.
Ahead of tonight's edition of WWE SmackDown, the former NJPW star battled Kit Wilson of Pretty Deadly on Main Event in his debut for the company. He picked up the victory in the bout, and you can check it out in the post below.
Hikuleo is the half-brother of Tama Tonga in real life. Tonga has been off WWE television due to an injury and is aligned with Solo Sikoa on SmackDown, who was betrayed during the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match this past Saturday night at the PLE.
United States Champion Jacob Fatu decided to turn his back on Sikoa and cost the veteran his opportunity to win the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match. It will be interesting to see what the company has planned for Hikuleo following his debut match.
