"How does this make sense?" – 61-year-old legend points out flaw with Roman Reigns ahead of WWE Night of Champions

A legendary wrestling manager has pointed out a flaw in Roman Reigns as the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

WWE recently announced that the World Heavyweight Championship will be returning, and it will be exclusive to RAW following Reigns being picked by SmackDown during this year's draft. Seth Rollins and AJ Styles will square off against each other at Night of Champions on May 27th in Saudi Arabia for the rights to be crowned the new champion. However, the Head of the Table will also be in action at the premium live event. Roman Reigns will be teaming up with Solo Sikoa to face Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.

Speaking on Episode 482 of the Jim Cornette Experience, the legendary manager noted that it didn't make sense for WWE to introduce a new title because Roman is not a fighting champion, only for Roman Reigns to be wrestling for a different title at the premium live event anyway.

"How does this make sense? When they have just announced, one of the main reasons they mentioned they're starting a new world title is because Roman Reigns has negotiated where he barely ever has to defend. So how did the same company agree to give him a chance at another world title? He will then by process of elimination never f***ing defend," wondered Cornette. [From 04:24 - 04:52]

Jim Cornette claims WWE shot themselves in the foot with Roman Reigns' storyline at Night of Champions

The Usos had a historic reign as Undisputed Tag Team Champions but it came to an end in the main event of Night One of WrestleMania 39, and Roman Reigns still hasn't forgotten about it.

The Tribal Chief scolded The Usos this past Friday on SmackDown and announced that he will be teaming up with Solo Sikoa to try and bring the titles back to The Bloodline. The tension within the group could reach a boiling point if Jimmy and Jey Uso decide to get involved in the title match next weekend.

During episode 482 of the Jim Cornette Experience, the veteran noted that he likes the idea of being able to use Roman Reigns in other ways but pointed out that it is a contradiction of what they established last week.

"I like the idea of the swerve and The Usos, and having another way to use Roman without having a singles challenger ready. But for the tag team titles, they've kind of shot themselves in the foot with what they've just said over on the other program last week," added Cornette. [From 05:10 - 05:28]
