In an incredible and brutal moment at Money in the Bank 2025, a top Bloodline superstar turned babyface for the first time in his WWE career as he executed the ultimate betrayal.
Things were reaching the peak of chaos in the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match as Seth Rollins called for Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker to clear the competition so he could have an easy climb to the top of the ladder. As they were succeeding in doing so, they were about to take out Solo Sikoa. In response, Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo came out to even the odds. While Breakker took himself out when he speared Mateo through the barricade at ringside, Jacob Fatu stunned everyone by hitting the Samoan Drop on Bronson Reed.
Fatu set up a small ladder to help Solo Sikoa ascend once the field was clear. He then got a taller ladder, and it would have been a surefire win for Solo, but Fatu shockingly held his leg. When Solo realized what was going on, Jacob said, "I hate you," to Solo and took him down, officially betraying him and turning babyface in the process.
Fatu then proceeded to destroy Solo Sikoa in a huge way, ending his ties with The New Bloodline. From now on, this iteration of The Bloodline will only be Solo Sikoa and JC Mateo until Tonga Loa returns.
It was quite clearly coming based on the SmackDown segment where Fatu overheard Solo telling Mateo that the US Champion was all gas and "no brains." It was similar to what Batista went through in 2005 and Bayley in 2024.
Things are going to be interesting on SmackDown.
