Zelina Vega recently expressed her desire to see Melina return to WWE 12 years after her release.

Melina joined the Stamford-based company in 2004. She spent nearly seven years as a regular competitor on SmackDown and Monday Night RAW, during which she became a five-time Women's Champion. However, the company released her from her contract in August 2011. Last year, she made a one-off return to compete in the 2022 Women's Royal Rumble match.

The Red Carpet Diva has a close relationship with Vega. The two ladies even went on a trip together in 2020. In a recent interview with Ring The Belle, Vega opened up about her friendship with the five-time Women's Champion. She also disclosed that she would like to see Melina return to WWE:

"I love you. Melina, I love you. But like it [the trip] was for her birthday, we went to Hawaii. Well, I mean, I guess that was that trip, but then we've had so many. We also did, like, a cross-country trip from California to Florida. And, my God, it was like we brought our dogs with us. Like we just went everywhere. And I think the biggest thing for her and I was just not tying ourselves down to anything specific. It was just like we'll see where the wind takes us and that's where we're gonna go. My God, even just Hawaii, it's probably my favorite trip," she said.

The LWO member added:

"We were really happy. And still, like, I feel like if her and I got to do it again, I say we'd have to go to like Japan or something. [Or maybe bring her to WWE?] I would love to have her back. I want her here like tomorrow. I would love that." [2:24 - 3:15]
