WWE is days away from crowning the winners of the 2024 King and Queen of the Ring tournaments in Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, Damage CTRL's IYO SKY has shared an update on social media after her massive loss to Lyra Valkyria on this week's RAW.

Earlier this month, it was announced that Asuka and IYO SKY would enter this year's Queen of the Ring tournament. Due to a foot injury, Asuka was replaced by Damage CTRL's Dakota Kai. However, Lyra Valkyria eliminated Kai in the first round.

On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, Valkyria defeated IYO SKY in the semifinal of the tournament. After the contest, The Genius of the Sky posted a picture on X/Twitter, displaying an injury she sustained on the red show.

SKY was aiming to bounce back by winning Queen of the Ring after losing the WWE Women's Championship to Bayley at WrestleMania XL. However, she couldn't accomplish the goal.

Damage CTRL lost another crucial match on WWE RAW

Last month, Damage CTRL returned to Monday Night RAW after being picked by the red brand in the 2024 WWE Draft.

The faction had plans to dominate the women's division by entering and possibly winning the 2024 Queen of the Ring tournament. Unfortunately, The Genius of the Sky lost to Lyra Valkyria in a semifinal match on RAW.

Meanwhile, Dakota Kai and Kairi Sane competed in a number one contenders match for the WWE Women's Championship on the same night. Sadly, the duo also failed to score the win as Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark reigned supreme.

Damage CTRL had a great run on SmackDown before IYO SKY lost the Women's Title at The Show of Shows. They could have come one step closer to the Women's World Championship if SKY won the Queen of the Ring tournament. However, the faction will likely have to find a different way to possibly target Becky Lynch's gold after the Japanese star's defeat.

Asuka's absence has seemingly hampered the stable's momentum on RAW. It will be interesting to see how members of the group plan to recover from their recent losses.
