Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena's Farewell Tour has just 19 dates left. His final match will take place in December 2025. Meanwhile, Bubba Ray Dudley recently entertained the idea of Logan Paul as Cena's last opponent. The Maverick teamed up with The Unseen 17 for a tag team bout against Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso at Money in the Bank 2025.
Earlier this year, John Cena alerted fans that he would be gone once his dates were up with the Stamford-based promotion. He is midway through his Retirement Tour and is now set to defend the title against CM Punk at Night of Champions later this month.
Speaking on Busted Open, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley entertained Dave LaGreca's idea of Logan Paul as John Cena's last opponent. The veteran said that for that to happen, the Triple H-led creative team would have to build Paul as a monster heel, whom only Cena could take down.
"I would have to hear the pitch because I think it would be a letdown to the WWE Universe. Unless you can build Logan Paul up to be such a heel that John Cena is the only one that can take him down," Dudley said. [From 34:24 to 34:41]
John Cena teamed up with Logan Paul at WWE Money in the Bank 2025
Earlier this year, Logan Paul went after Jey Uso and the World Heavyweight Championship on Monday Night RAW. John Cena, in his bid to ruin pro wrestling, assisted The Maverick in the title match at Saturday Night's Main Event, attacking Jey. Luckily, Cody Rhodes returned to WWE to save the day for The YEET Master and challenge the heels to a tag team match at MITB 2025.
Later, the management booked the match for the Los Angeles PLE. During the bout, there was tension between The Franchise Player and The Maverick. In the end, Ron Killings appeared and allowed Rhodes and Uso to secure a win against the villainous duo.
It will be interesting to see if The Last Real Champion gets back to winning ways when he defends his title against CM Punk later this month.
