Ever since Jacy Jayne won the NXT Women's Championship, she has had a lot of stars waiting to challenge her for the title, including Jaid Parker, Zaria, Lash Legend, Thea Hail, and more. Last week, Jacy defended her title for the first time against Lainey Reid. Following the match, Ava addressed the rising competition in the women's division. She announced that this week, there would be four singles matches, and the winner of those matches would face off in a Fatal Four-way next week in a number one contender's match. The winner of that match will face Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women's Championship at WWE Evolution 2.

Tonight on WWE NXT, Jaida Parker and Thea Hail competed in the first singles match. While Jaida was making her entrance, Thea attacked her from behind and earned the advantage. Later on in the match, Thea locked in the Kimura Lock, and Jaida tapped out. Thea began celebrating, but the referee never saw Jaida tap out and didn't call for the bell. Jaida took advantage of this referee botch and attacked Thea Hail to pick up the win.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
