Mariah May made her WWE debut on the June 3, 2025, edition of NXT. On last night's edition of the developmental brand's show, The Glamour received a new in-ring name, Blake Monroe. However, the name seemingly isn't PG.

Upon her WWE debut, the English pro wrestler immediately inserted herself in the NXT Women's Championship picture by confronting reigning champion Jacy Jayne.

This week on NXT, The Glamour's new name was revealed with a Sabrina Carpenter-inspired vignette. Her first name, "Blake," is a tribute to her niece, and Monroe is inspired by legendary Hollywood actress Marilyn Monroe. However, Cultaholic has highlighted that the former AEW Women's World Champion's new ring name is similar to that of a former adult film star.

Bill Apter believes WWE's presentation of Blake Monroe (FKA Mariah May) is similar to Toni Storm's new persona

Blake Monroe (FKA Mariah May) is no stranger to Toni Storm. She was introduced as "Timeless" Toni Storm's superfan upon her debut in Tony Khan's company and subsequently aligned with the reigning AEW Women's World Champion.

After winning the 2024 Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, The Glamour turned her back on Storm, marking the beginning of an iconic feud in AEW.

The feud concluded at Revolution 2025, with the erstwhile Mariah May failing to defeat Storm in a rematch for the AEW Women's World Championship. The match was billed as a "Hollywood Ending" Falls Count Anywhere Match.

Speaking on UnSKripted, Bill Apter stated the following about her character in WWE:

"I am not gonna use the word 'rip-off,' but this is very close to the Hollywood version of Toni Storm as well if you really think about it... I am hoping that this is gonna go over very well. I'd like to see her as a surprise, in a surprise match at Evolution; I think that would raise her stock."

Monroe won't get an immediate shot at the WWE NXT Women's Championship. The next title shot will be awarded to the winner of a tournament announced by Ava. The 26-year-old isn't a part of the tournament.
