Nikki Bella was recently caught promoting reality show Total Bellas and was interviewed by Digital Spy. She spoke about her career after dating John Cena and teaming with John on SmackDown Live.
She made a shocking revelation saying that being in a relationship with John Cena had made things even more difficult for her. According to Nikki, being in a relationship with John has been a roller coaster ride for her. John’s reputation is intimidating to some and being in a relationship with him was equally stressful for the Bella.

She had a feeling that no matter how hard she worked, and how many hours she put into her training, all her achievements would be attributed to John’s influence in the WWE. She had always had a big chip on her shoulder to go out into the ring and perform to prove her critics wrong.
She expressed anguish at the fact that many would rather choose to ignore her hard work and stated that Cena was responsible for that:
“I won't get certain things because people will be like, 'Oh, people are gonna think she has this because of John' so let's just not give it to me. I have to work so much harder being with a successful man to just prove myself.”
Nikki was excited at the new avenues that the brand split has opened up. For the first time in a while, Nikki had the opportunity to team up with Cena.
SmackDown Live had a dark match where Cena, Ziggler and Nikki teamed up to take on the likes of Baron Corbin, The Miz and Carmella. A John Cena-Nikki Bella storyline might be in the works and Nikki expressed her excitement at the prospect of working with John on SmackDown Live.

Nikki Bella is one of the most successful women wrestlers on the WWE roster. She is in fact, the longest reigning WWE Divas Champion holding the title for a staggering 301-day reign, beating out AJ Lee’s 295-day reign. Nikki looked optimistic throughout the course of the interview saying that the haters were responsible for her success.
