It was announced last week on WWE RAW that CM Punk would challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night of Champions next weekend.

This would mark the first time in CM Punk's career that he has made the trip to Saudi Arabia, and it was expected to be a major moment for him in the Middle East if he could lift the world title for the first time in more than a decade.

It appears that this won't be the case since MyBookie recently noted that the favorite heading into the match is John Cena. This means that he is expected to retain the championship once again.

While this isn't a confirmation that Cena will emerge victorious, the current betting odds indicate that The Franchise Player's reign won't end in Saudi Arabia. John Cena won the World Championship back at WrestleMania in April when he was able to defeat Cody Rhodes, and he has since made it his mission to ruin wrestling.

John Cena defends his Undisputed WWE Championship in Saudi Arabia

This is the first time that Cena has defended the World Championship in Saudi Arabia, but not the first title defense he has endured. Cena has already defended the title against R-Truth and Randy Orton and will be forced to defend it against Truth once again before Night of Champions.

Cena and Punk have already had a lengthy feud in the past, which saw Punk win the World Championship in what was deemed "The Summer of Punk." It seems that times have changed since then, and now that Cena is on top, despite retiring in less than six months, Punk could be the one to come up short.

The Second City Saint has been able to prove himself several times over since his return to WWE almost two years ago, and while many feel he deserves to be pushed into the World Championship picture, this may not be the best time for him to dethrone Cena.
