Randy Orton has finally stepped back inside the ring in WWE. His return comes after a huge announcement.
Recently, the return of the Queen and King of the Ring tournaments was announced by Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce. As it happens, they had a lot to say about it and revealed a couple of big returns. One of the returns to the show was none other than Randy Orton himself, who was shown as part of the tournament brackets. Asuka's return was also announced similarly.
Tonight, Orton finally appeared for the first time since his loss to John Cena, thanks to interference from R-Truth at WWE Backlash. With his first appearance in a month, he didn't shy away from his former opponent and long-time rival, interrupting John Cena and appearing during his segment, making for a tense moment, until they were interrupted by LA Knight as well.
Eventually, Cena walked out on him, leaving Orton for his match, where he will have the chance to go to the next step in the King of the Ring tournament. Should he win, it may be his only other possible chance to get his hands on John Cena and become a WWE Champion once again. It was a title opportunity for Randy Orton again, as should he win the King of the Ring, he will get a shot at the title again.
Meanwhile, Orton's return was celebrated, with the commentary team also welcoming him back.
