WWE News: Ric Flair believes Dolph Ziggler is leaving WWE

The Nature Boy has always believed The Showoff to be underrated

Ric Flair has always been vocal in his support of Dolph Ziggler. And who can blame him? Ziggler has always been one of the show stealers and finest in-ring performers that WWE has to offer, and has always had continuous support from the fans. Many believe that The Showoff has not gotten his full due, and The Nature Boy is one of them.

On a recent episode of The Ric Flair Show, his co-host Conrad Thompson asked The Nature Boy about whether he heard the rumours of Ziggler's contract expiring, and he said:

"Well, I've heard that, but I hope it's not true. He has too much left to offer to the business, and I think, I hope I'm not letting the cat out of the bag, I think they want him to work in the office. But he loves Phoenix [Arizona] and I don't know that that will happen, but he [has] got, he can be with the company as long as he wants to be. He's that good. He's that nice a guy and he's that highly thought of, so he's in a good place."

Flair proceeded to say:

I think he's still very much part of the roster and I like seeing him on TV, so I hope he doesn't walk away from it this early. But if he does, I'm sure he [has] done well with his money. He [has] made a lot of money, so he'll be okay."

If the rumours of Ziggler leaving do turn out to be true, it appears that it is quite unlikely he will stay on in the Professional Wrestling business, as he has a lot of options both in stand-up comedy and as a political analyst. He has already been involved with Fox Business analyst Lisa Kennedy multiple times.

When asked whether he believes Ziggler ever got his dues, Flair said that he does not believe he did:

"No. I think he's really a lot more talented than he [has] had a chance to show. He has a chance to show it, but it doesn't seem to be consistent. It's one week on, one week off for Dolph. And that's the way it [has] been for two or three years for him."

It appears that even The Nature Boy believes the rumours to be true, and he is hardly someone who does not have contacts in the business. What the fate of Ziggler’s WWE career is, we will find out only this Sunday at No Mercy.
