Former Tag Team Champion Chad Gable was a guest on the latest edition of WWE’s The Bump. During Gable's appearance on The Bump, he gave an update on a possible in-ring return for his close friend and former tag team partner, Jason Jordan. Gable said that Jordan was working on a return before adding that he would always be open to an American Alpha reunion:
"Speaking from a personal standpoint, he became one of my best friends throughout the [WWE] process and still is. It’s unfortunate what happened to him with his injury, but you never say never. He’s working on it, he’s trying to get back. And who knows, a reunion is always something I would never be against."
Jason Jordan last competed in 2018 at the WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view. Jordan and Seth Rollins defended the RAW Tag Team Championships against Sheamus and Cesaro. Jordan ended up being unable to compete after a storyline injury leaving Rollins to take on both Cesaro and Sheamus on his own. The match was eventually won by Cesaro and Sheamus.
