Carmelo Hayes is always known for shooting his shot. This made him a top star in NXT and won him the top championship in the brand. He carried the same attitude when he made it to the main roster. The 30-year-old has taken every opportunity to make a name for himself, whether it was feuding with Andrade or Cody Rhodes. He never missed the chance to take his shot.
Last week's SmackDown was no different as he faced Sami Zayn. The match was in the latter's favor when Carmelo tried to walk away, but he was confronted by Braun Strowman, who tried to carry him to the ring. However, the former NXT star escaped the clutches of the Monster Among Men. The match ended in a no contest when The Bloodline attacked Sami.

Tonight on the blue brand, Sami ran into Carmelo Hayes backstage, who informed him that he would win the match if Braun Strowman hadn't interfered. He also said he would win if they ever ran it back.
The Usos quickly interrupted them and asked if there was a problem, and Sami filled them in. Hayes then slowly walked away.
It will be interesting to see if Carmelo Hayes will get another match against Sami Zayn.
