Sami Zayn has finally opened up about his wife, Khadijah Sebei, appearing on WWE television since last year in Montreal.

Zayn had been very private about his personal life before his wife supported him during his match against Roman Reigns at the Elimination Chamber 2023 Premium Live Event in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Khadijah was also in the front row when Sami ended Gunther's historic Intercontinental Championship reign at WrestleMania XL.

In a recent appearance on the Gorilla Position podcast, the current Intercontinental Champion opened up about his wife's appearances on WWE TV. The Underdog from the Underground had mixed feelings about it mainly because of the "monsters" online who do not have any positive things to say.

"I've been extremely private my whole career and my whole life actually, but I shielded her specifically from it because she didn't sign up for it, and I just don't think she's built for criticism. The kind of criticism that these monsters online sometimes hurl at us, especially the women or whatever. And I just didn't want to expose her to that and then somehow or another she ended up kind of involved in the story when we did the match in Montreal," Sami Zayn said. [2:47 - 3:15]

What the future has in store for the former Honorary Uce remains to be seen.

Sami Zayn was uncomfortable letting his son watch him wrestle

Sami Zayn and his wife, Khadijah Sebei, have a three-year-old son, who watched his father wrestle for the first time against Chad Gable. Zayn is not comfortable letting his son watch him wrestle at a young age because it feels too real to a kid.

"I shielded him from watching any wrestling because I just thought it'd be traumatizing whether I tell him or not like, 'It's okay. It's entertainment or whatever. It's pretend and Baba's okay and these are his friends or whatever.' I still think it's traumatic to watch your father get beat up," Sami Zayn said. [1:06 - 1:19 in the video above]

Sami Zayn let his son watch his match against Chad Gable a couple of weeks ago on RAW. Zayn cut it off until Gable turned heel and attacked him in front of his family, which would have been more traumatic for the child.
