WWE star Seth Rollins has his motives for being the special guest referee at SummerSlam. He will officiate the high-voltage encounter between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre.RAW general manager Adam Pearce announced last week that Rollins would be the special guest referee for McIntyre vs. Punk at SummerSlam. This week on the red show, The Visionary laid down the law with the two competitors just days before their showdown.During a recent appearance on ESPN SportsCenter, Rollins mentioned there was much animosity among all three men. The Visionary detailed that he wasn't particularly fond of either man and wanted to see them tear each other apart. He wanted to ensure that CM Punk and the Scotsman went to war at SummerSlam."I can because I hate them both equally. I want them both to suffer the exact same amount. So I’m gonna do my best to work that out. It’s gonna be up to them, who’s gonna pin, who’s gonna make who tap out. We’ll get to all that. I’m gonna make sure they beat the cr*p out of each other." [H/T: Fightful]Seth Rollins has his differences with CM Punk and Drew McIntyreSeth Rollins being announced as the special guest referee for Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk has added a new dynamic to this encounter.Rollins was irate when The Best in the World returned to WWE at Survivor Series: WarGames 2023. Since then, he has maintained that Punk was not good for the WWE locker room. Meanwhile, The Visionary and McIntyre have been at odds since Rollins was the World Heavyweight Champion. The differences among the three men have only increased with time. Things reached a fever pitch at Money in the Bank, where Rollins challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title. McIntyre tried to cash in his Money in the Bank contract. This led to Punk attacking the Scotsman and Priest pinning him, resulting in Rollins being the collateral damage. It will be interesting to see how Seth Rollins will influence the outcome of the highly anticipated encounter.
