Ludwig Kaiser has been a loyal soldier to Gunther since their time in NXT UK. This loyalty carried over to the main roster, where Kaiser, as always, had the Ring General's back. However, tonight on WWE RAW, Gunther seemingly set him free when he told him to make a name for himself. The 34-year-old star picked the perfect match to do so.
Later in the night, Sheamus was set to challenge Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship. This title has eluded the Celtic Warrior in his career, and winning it would make him a Grand Slam Champion in WWE. He would join a rare list featuring legends like Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

Hence, the Celtic Warrior gave it his all during the match. Both men delivered an exciting contest that got the fans on their feet. However, when Breakker was gearing up for a spear outside the ring, Ludwig Kaiser attacked him, causing a disqualification. He then turned his attention to Sheamus and took him out as well.
It looks like Ludwig Kaiser has done enough to insert himself into the Intercontinental Championship picture.
