Solo Sikoa is missing something 28-year-old AEW star has in spades, claims veteran: "That type of thing would work"

According to a wrestling veteran, Solo Sikoa is missing a significant skill that top AEW star MJF has in spades. Jim Cornette recently reacted to Sikoa's rise as the leader of The Bloodline in the absence of Roman Reigns and The Rock.

On a recent episode of The Jim Cornette Experience, the 62-year-old expressed his liking for Tama Tonga but was still skeptical about Sikoa's potential. Cornette likes how dangerous the former NXT North American Champion has been portrayed, but he thinks that the latter is still missing mic skills. He even mentioned MJF as being perfect for the role of a breakout star in a big wrestling stable.

"I wish he was stronger verbally. Let's put it that way. Can you imagine what MJF could do if he was in a group where the top guy in the group had been the top guy in the business for the past several years and all of a sudden that guy is gone and MJF gets to break out from under that shadow? That type of thing that would work," Cornette said. [3:32 - 4:02]

MJF is already a big star in AEW, although he's currently on the sidelines due to an injury. The 28-year-old was part of a stable at the start of his career before becoming one of the best talkers in pro wrestling.

As for Solo Sikoa, he has been given the opportunity to showcase his promo skills regularly on SmackDown. It also helps that he's working with Paul Heyman, who is considered one of the best mic workers in pro wrestling history.

WWE's reported plan for Solo Sikoa

WWE clearly wants Solo Sikoa to be a big star. Sikoa taking over The Bloodline with new members has been a good touch. However, some fans are not yet convinced of the 31-year-old's potential.

According to WrestleVotes, WWE has been booking Sikoa as a dominant force because of Jacob Fatu's rumored debut. The company doesn't want the SmackDown star to be overshadowed by Fatu, who is one of the most agile superstars in pro wrestling despite his size. He was a star for Major League Wrestling before reportedly signing with the global juggernaut earlier this year.

With The Rock and Roman Reigns not expected to return anytime soon, Solo Sikoa has all the time in the world to get over and improve as a performer.
