Stephanie Vaquer will compete in her first WWE Money in the Bank ladder match on June 7. Previewing the event, wrestling legend Matt Hardy named the Chilean as one of the possible winners in the six-woman ladder match.
Vaquer earned a spot in the Women's Money in the Bank contest after defeating Ivy Nile and Liv Morgan on the June 2 episode of RAW. Alexa Bliss, Giulia, Naomi, Rhea Ripley, and Roxanne Perez have also qualified for the match.
On The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, Hardy tipped Vaquer or new SmackDown star Giulia to emerge with the win:
"I think in this it's either gonna be Giulia or it's gonna be Stephanie. I think it's gonna be one of these two. I think they're gonna make them right out of the gate. I think that was very intentional that they brought them up to the [main] roster that quick." [17:00 – 17:12]
Giulia qualified for Money in the Bank on the May 23 episode of SmackDown. She beat Charlotte Flair and Zelina Vega to book her place in the match.
Why Matt Hardy thinks Giulia or Stephanie Vaquer will win
WWE's women's division has undergone major changes over the last year. Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer both became NXT Women's Champions before moving to the main roster. Tiffany Stratton has also emerged as a breakout star on SmackDown.
Given how quickly Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer have made their mark on the main roster, Matt Hardy thinks WWE must have plans for the duo:
"I think they're gonna say, 'Hey, we're gonna make somebody here.' I think they'll have Money in the Bank for a while until they work to cash it in, and we'll see what happens there, but they're gonna elevate them through Money in the Bank. I think that was the whole goal of having these two in the match." [17:12 – 17:24]
Vaquer will wrestle twice on June 7. Hours before Money in the Bank, she will team with Lola Vice against Chik Tormenta and Dalys at Worlds Collide.
