The Rock has revealed that he suffered a heart-related health scare. He's disclosed what was next as well.
The Rock recently appeared in conversation with Mark Hyman on his YouTube channel, discussing his health and the importance of men's health. There, he revealed that he had suffered a scare surrounding his heart.
He was getting scans and tests done, and there appeared to be a buildup of plaque in an artery. As a result, when looking at it with an MRI, there was a call to action, where he was put on medication. He said that he was hesitant as he was not on any medication.
"And then there was what looked to be, some stuff inside, like a buildup of, like what they thought was plaque, in the circumflex artery, right? I'd never even heard of that... And then when we looked at that on the old school traditional MRI, and the scans, it looked like I had buildup, and then immediately the call-to-action was ‘all right, here we go. Well, let’s get you on this medication.' [...] I thought, 'God,' and I was so hesitant because I wasn’t taking any medication." (9:03 - 10:02)

The WWE legend then went on to contact Dr. Hyman, who, with his scans, revealed that there was no reason to be worried after all. He told him not to get on medication before the scan happened. He then revealed that it was part of an anatomical thing happening, and the Rock was fine. He admitted that what was next was that the Rock needed to get checked out in another three years
"There’s a couple of steps here that we can do... 'Let’s get a scan done, but let’s get an AI scan done'. And I said, ‘Okay, we got the scan done.’ You sent it to your guy, and then it came back. It's almost like when you hear a song for the first time. I love that song. That song sounds great. I remember when you told me, you said, ‘Hey, look, here’s the report from our head cardiologist,' who's a very good friend. He said, 'Looks great. It is just an anatomical thing that’s happening back there. It’s not buildup at all. Those valves look great. Come back in three years.'" (10:24 - 11:07)
Thankfully, it appears that the Rock is fine for now, and the health scare was just a scare and nothing more. It remains to be seen if he gets involved with stories surrounding Cody Rhodes and John Cena again anytime soon.
