"There is money to be made", "Top feuds in my estimation" - WWE Universe wants CM Punk to face 19-year-veteran at SummerSlam 2024

CM Punk return to WWE after almost ten years.

The WWE Universe has picked a potential opponent for CM Punk to collide at next year's SummerSlam in the form of a 19-year-veteran.

The speculation for The Best in the World's possible feuds has been wild, with huge names such as Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins, and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the mix.

Following Punk's and The Visionary's promo on Monday Night RAW, the majority of the fans believe that the current World Heavyweight Champion would turn heel and lock horns against the former AEW star at WrestleMania 40.

As of now, the 45-year-old star is yet to be an official member of SmackDown or RAW, as the general managers would be vying to sign him. Irrespective of that, among others, one more name has made rounds on the web as the CM Punk's challenger for the 2024 SummerSlam.

The name in question is none other than The Miz, who has been in the wrestling industry since 2004 and is a two-time WWE Grand Slam Champion. The A-Lister pushed Gunther to his limits for the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series 2023, where The Ring General retained his title.

Now, fans are calling for an epic battle between Punk and The Miz at next year's SummerSlam premium Live Event. Given that both men can destroy their opponents on the mic, the WWE Universe wants a rivalry between the former United States Champion and the former AEW World Champion.

Booker T says CM Punk may have been tested by WWE on live TV

Hall of Famer Booker T recently claimed that the Stamford-based promotion might have tested The Straight Edge Superstar on live television.

Upon Punk's return to Monday Night RAW, he cut a promo talking about his previous shaky relationship with WWE and how he has changed.

Speaking of the Hall of Fame podcast, Booker revealed that World Wrestling Entertainment may have put CM Punk to the test on his first night back.

"I think if someone had told him, 'Hey, you gotta go out and say this,' he might have said, 'No, I can't do it.' There might have been some rift there. I just don't see them putting him in that position [the] first night back. In this business, I say everything is a test. That could have been CM Punk's test," he said.
