TKO Group Holdings had a message for CM Punk following the big reveal on the latest episode of WWE SmackDown. Last night, the Best in the World was revealed as the fifth member of Roman Reigns' OG Bloodline for the Survivor Series: WarGames 2024 Premium Live Event.
For a while now, Sami Zayn had been trying to recruit Seth Rollins to the OG Bloodline in order to battle Solo Sikoa's Bloodline at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024. However, The Visionary made it clear that he did not want anything to do with The Original Tribal Chief.
Paul Heyman returned to WWE TV on SmackDown last night and revealed Punk as the fifth member of Reigns' WarGames team. The reveal took fans by surprise and they cannot wait to see the action unfold at Survivor Series: WarGames 2024. TKO Group's official Instagram handle commented on the video of the big reveal and tagged the Second City Saint in it as can be seen below. TKO seems quite delighted with Punk's decision to join Roman's team.
Roman Reigns' honest thoughts on CM Punk
It is clear as day that Roman Reigns is not too fond of CM Punk. Four years ago, The Original Tribal Chief appeared on the Load Management podcast from Complex and had the following to say about a potential Punk return:
"All the way from someone as big as The Rock to someone like a CM Punk for instance, you know what I mean? Like someone who really hits home with our home audience, our hardcore fans. If you’ve watched wrestling for the last 10 - 15 years and it’s in your blood, then you probably have some kind of feelings about that guy. I know I do. Just by doing one of these things, he made my job a lot harder five, ten years ago. If it’s something the fans can get behind and sink their teeth into the product and dive into the creative with us, I’m willing to do it." [H/T CageSideSeats]
Fans are beyond excited for the 2024 Men's WarGames Match. With Reigns not being a Punk fan in the least, it would be interesting to see if the former manages to keep his feelings aside and work with the latter to emerge victorious against Solo Sikoa's Bloodline.
