Triple H won't prevent top name from getting physical at WWE SummerSlam

Triple H would not be getting in the way if a top name would like to get physical inside the ring at WWE SummerSlam. The Biggest Party of the Summer is going to be historic as it will be the first-ever two-night premium live event that's not a WrestleMania.

As announced on SmackDown last month, Cardi B will serve as host of SummerSlam at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The popular rapper is a huge pro wrestling fan and has teased the possibility of getting in the ring over the years.

During the Money in the Bank post-show press conference, Triple H was asked about the possibility of Cardi B doing something other than hosting the PLE. The WWE's Chief Content Officer explained that no one can control the Bodak Yellow artist, and he wouldn't prevent her from doing what she wants in the ring.

"I don't know if anybody can control Cardi B, let me just start with that. If she wants to, it's going to be hard to talk her out of it. What can we expect? Who the hell knows? The one thing I know about Cardi is whatever she's going to do is what she's going to do, and you're sort of kind of just hanging on to the tiger's tail a little bit there," Triple H said. Cardi B is a huge WWE fan, with Chelsea Green challenging her to a match late last year. Green is even open to letting her sing during her entrance at a future WrestleMania.

Triple H opens up on working with Cardi B

With WWE's popularity at an all-time high, it's not hard to see more celebrities potentially get involved with the company. Cardi B joins a long list, and Triple H likes what he's seeing from the rapper, based on their initial discussions ahead of her hosting gig at SummerSlam.

"She's a lot of fun to work with, has been so far with this. She's excited to do it. I think everybody knows she's a big fan and has talked a lot about the business over the years, all that stuff and comments on it a lot. So, when you work with people like that, it's exciting. We'll see where that goes. We're thrilled to be working with her," the Hall of Famer said on the MITB post-show. [56:56 - 57:18]

WWE SummerSlam is scheduled to take place on August 2 and 3 at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The venue has previously hosted WrestleMania 29 in 2013 and WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
