WWE legend Trish Stratus is one of the most decorated superstars to have worked in the Stamford-based promotion. Interestingly, she recently teamed up with another Hall of Famer, Lita, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of a historic WWE event.
Trish Stratus and Lita were part of the ‘Team Bestie’ tag team. The duo had accumulated a significant fan following as solo stars. However, their pair also gained a lot of traction and love from the fans. Owing to this popularity, they got the chance to be the first women to main event a Monday Night RAW show on December 6, 2004.
To celebrate this big day, the duo has arrived in Dallas, Texas to hold the “Team Bestie: The Main Event.” The program will see the pair of Lita and Stratus meet fans for a Q&A session and also commemorate their iconic main event match. Moreover, a video clip on X showcased them revealing that they will also be selling a lot of merchandise at the event.
Former WWE champion requests Trish Stratus to make a major appearance
Trish Stratus had made a comeback to the Stamford-based promotion for this year’s Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. Following this, former WWE Tag Team Champion Grayson Waller has asked the Hall of Famer to make an appearance on his talk show, The Grayson Waller Effect.
The 34-year-old made this public request on Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast. The Aussie noted that Trish Stratus has always been a dream guest he has wanted to host on his talk show.
“If I had to put this list two years ago when I first got The Grayson Waller Effect, it's [John] Cena, Cody [Rhodes], Shawn [Michaels], Logan [Paul], the Mount Rushmore basically, that would be great. I've always said the dream guest is Trish Stratus. I've been saying it multiple times, and unfortunately, hasn't happened yet. I'm going to keep saying it. Trish, come on, please be on my show. Let me give you the Grayson Waller rub. I just really respect her as a performer, and I've always liked her for so long. So that's always my answer, and until it happens, I can't really give another answer," he said. [30:12 - 30:44]
While Stratus will be commemorating a legendary event, it would be interesting to see if she returns to WWE to create even more legendary moments with the promotion.
