Former WWE CEO Vince McMahon is still wrapped up in a number of allegations against him. However, a veteran has noticed a curious detail regarding McMahon's comments.

Over the last few years, McMahon's prominence in the pro wrestling world has taken a steep dive. Apart from being allegedly involved in several controversies, he also stepped down from his role in the Stamford-based promotion. In the Netflix docuseries about him, he was seen as a ruthless individual when it came to business.

Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo claimed that he never saw McMahon as a liar though. He said:

"I really would hope he is very very regretful... He is keeping a low profile, he has for a long time, and for all of us that know Vince, that is not Vince. He would be out there claiming his innocence and that's why but Vince, believe this or not man, I never saw Vince as liar... If you notice I mean he has not said, 'I am innocent.' I mean he has not said that one time, so I would like to believe man, he is just very very very regretful of some of the decisions he may have made for his life." [6:02 onwards]

The WWE veteran also compared Vince McMahon to a skunk

Vince Russo for one is very affected by the turn of events regarding McMahon. However, he still believes that the former WWE CEO is not a liar.

Speaking on the same episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, the veteran stated:

"Who would have ever thought. Like Vince McMahon is like a skunk. Everybody's just trying to run away from him. Who would have ever thought, I mean, Chris, how ironic is this. I mean, EC3 knows this. I mean, bro, this guy went how many years with people kissing his backside. Now, people cannot get far enough away from this dude, including his own wife." [2:30 onwards]

It remains to be seen what is next for the former WWE CEO down the line.
