Seth Rollins challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank. The match marked Rollins' last chance to regain the title as long as Priest was champion. The former champion came up short at the PLE and was livid with CM Punk for the role he played in his loss. It took retired star Corey Graves to restrain Rollins and bring things under control.

The former Shield member returned from his hiatus to challenge Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title. While issuing the challenge, he let the WWE Universe know that if he failed to beat the Judgment Day member, he wouldn't challenge for the title until a new champion was crowned.
At Money in the Bank, Seth Rollins almost had the match won when Drew McIntyre decided to cash in his newly won MITB briefcase. The Scottish Psychopath dominated both superstars until CM Punk interfered.

Punk beat down McIntyre and let Priest capitalize to retain his title. Seth Rollins was visibly livid about the outcome and was seen yelling at CM Punk. The Architect's longtime friend, WWE commentator Corey Graves, was forced to intervene and stop his friend from attacking the former AEW star.
