Roman Reigns and the OG Bloodline received a lifeline when Paul Heyman returned on SmackDown last Friday, bringing along CM Punk to combat the new Bloodline. However, fans noticed Reigns' reaction to Punk teaming up with them in new footage released by WWE.
The OG Bloodline was outnumbered five-on-four when Heyman came out and introduced The Second City Saint as the leveler. Punk will team up with Reigns, The Usos, and Sami Zayn to take on Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Bronson Reed, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa in a WarGames Match at Survivor Series.
In a reel uploaded by WWE on Instagram, Reigns was seemingly unhappy with Punk being friendly with Jey and Jimmy Uso. Fans theorized that the OTC thought something fishy was about to happen, especially with Punk's and Heyman's history.
Here are some of the comments on Instagram:
"Roman's pissed because he knows Wise Man didn't answer him, but knows Wise Man has been talking to Punk. WISEMAN BEEN CHEATING ON HIS TRIBAL CHIEF."
"Roman knows what comes next, Betrayal."
"I think Roman Reigns is feeling that something is not right!"
"Roman's behavior suggests Roman vs CM Punk will be very soon."
"Roman knows something's ain't right."
"Roman is not happy to team up with someone who has a bigger aura than him."
It will be interesting to see if Reigns' gut feeling will be true at Survivor Series: WarGames this Saturday at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada.
Roman Reigns called the 'best wrestler today' by WWE Hall of Famer
Kurt Angle is one of the greatest WWE superstars in history and, at one point, the best wrestler in the world. Angle recently told USA Today that Roman Reigns has the distinction of the "best wrestler" currently.
"Roman, I will say, he is the best wrestler today. Roman caught on and started improving very quickly and learning, and he continuously got better and better, and then he became the best. Right now, he's red-hot. He could be the biggest babyface in the company or the biggest heel, depending on what he chooses to do," Angle said.
The OTC was previously listed as number one by Pro Wrestling Illustrated in 2016 and 2022. He was number two in 2021 and 2023 but was removed in 2024 because he didn't wrestle enough matches to be eligible.
