WWE News: WWE left frustrated after John Cena signs for another Hollywood flick

Will Cena finally hang his wrestling boots?

While it has become very apparent that John Cena is no longer the Alpha Male of the company, his reduced appearances on SmackDown Live have left fans anticipating for his much-awaited return.

Adding fuel to the fire is the report of GMS, which claims that Cena's might be out for a longer period than originally speculated. The proponent of 'Hustle. Loyalty. Respect', has been busy with the filming of the second season of American Grit.

WWE has been drafting storylines to integrate Cena back into the mix. Meanwhile, reports from the same source claim that Cena has signed for another major Hollywood role as he continues to venture into the world outside WWE.

John Cena will now star in Kay Cannon’s directorial debut, The Pact, which also features Hollywood hotshots Leslie Mann and Ike Barinholtz. While Cena continues to build a strong portfolio in the comedy genre, the WWE Officials are left unhappy with how the events are unfolding.

Cena had recently announced that he was going to be hosting the 10th December edition of Saturday Night Live as well:

Another, third party source, Inquisitr, reports that WWE Officials are unhappy as Cena continues to miss major PPVs. The current reports add to the already rising tension between the Superstar and the company.

John Cena was reportedly upset with the details surrounding Goldberg’s return, Cena’s unhappiness stems especially from the financial aspect of part time performers being compensated heavily.

The uneasiness between Cena and WWE does not seem to be severe, as the creatives are continually working on the potential comeback storyline for the leader of Cenation. With multiple ideas floating around, Cena finally winning his 16th WWE Championship at the next year’s Mania has also come up as a vague possibility.

Interestingly enough, Cena is now turning into the part-timer that he once accused The Rock of being. While fans might still have a hard time accepting the fact, Cena’s days as a full-time pro wrestler certainly look like they might be coming to an end.
