While Cody Rhodes' rise to the top of the WWE roster is commendable, a veteran believes his future seems bleak at this point. According to the veteran, Vince Russo, the creative department has already fumbled Cody's run.
Ever since Cody's win over Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, his momentum has seemingly been on a downward spiral. While he is currently engaged in a feud with AJ Styles that is shaping up to be quite entertaining, Vince Russo believes that the creative team has practically nothing for the American Nightmare at this point.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, the veteran stated:
"He has nothing to say. And again bro, it's not, let me clarify that. It's not that Cody has nothing to say. They (creative) have nothing for him." [2:20 onwards]

The WWE veteran also blamed the audience for Cody Rhodes losing momentum
According to Vince Russo, the fans in pro wrestling today are fickle enough to never stick to one character for long.
Speaking on the same episode of Sportskeeda's Writing with Russo, the veteran stated that fans had already moved on from Cody, despite being his biggest supporters before WrestleMania:
"Bro you have said this since I have known you. It's a very very very fickle hardcore audience, and it is always on to the next thing. And you said this bro. So they got what they wanted, okay guys, you got what they wanted. Now they are bored with it, and now it's on to the next thing." [3:16 onwards]
As of now, it remains to be seen whether Cody Rhodes will be able to recapture the magic in WWE in the coming weeks.
