Roman Reigns is set to lead the OG Bloodline in a WarGames match against the new Bloodline at WWE Survivor Series. Wrestling veteran Stevie Richards recently suggested a top superstar must turn heel and interfere in the square-off to save his character.
On a recent episode of The Brand podcast, former WWE head writer Vince Russo disclosed that he believes the company initially planned to have Seth Rollins join the OG Bloodline despite The Visionary turning down the opportunity twice. Richards agreed with the 63-year-old stating that Creative, led by Triple H, probably replaced Rollins with CM Punk at the last minute.
Meanwhile, the former Hardcore Champion claimed the former World Heavyweight Champion was pushed aside and the only way for Triple H to save The Visionary's character would be to have him turn heel at Survivor Series, cost the OG Bloodline the match, and kick off his feud with Punk:
"This was an internet fantasy thing for like a month way way back. 'Oh, he [Paul Heyman] manages Roman Reigns. He used to manage Punk. Is something gonna happen there?' Here's why I buy your theory that they kinda just switched it up on the fly out of nowhere. The fifth man being Drew would've pulled Punk out to be the fifth man for Survivor Series. The Punk and Bronson Reed thing, yeah, you're right, Seth Rollins just got pushed to the side and the only way to save his character is to turn heel at Survivor Series and go off and have a singles deal with Punk," he said. Mark Henry thinks Seth Rollins will target CM Punk at WWE Survivor Series
On the Busted Open podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry also discussed the upcoming WarGames match between the OG Bloodline and the new Bloodline at Survivor Series.
The World's Strongest Man predicted an interference from Seth Rollins to target CM Punk and cost the OG Bloodline the match:
"I'm just thinking that Seth Rollins interferes somehow. I just got this guttural feeling that Seth is going to take it upon himself to inflict some pain on [CM] Punk, and he's going to cost them," Henry said.
While Rollins is not officially on the Survivor Series card, it would be interesting to see if he will show up to get involved in the Men's WarGames match.
