WWE reserved the most shocking twist for MITB 2025 for the end as R-Truth returned to take out John Cena just days after announcing he was leaving the company. Now, the global juggernaut has all but confirmed that he will go with the ringname, Ron Killings, which also happens to be his real name.

Last week, when the news about Killings' WWE exit became official, it quickly led to massive backlash against the company. Many were fuming over the company cutting ties with such a beloved performer. In the subsequent episodes of RAW and SmackDown, the arenas were filled with various R-Truth chants.
The promotion seems to have taken this into account, as he was brought back in the closing moments of MITB 2025. He attacked John Cena, whom he'd faced a few weeks back at Saturday Night's Main Event. The attack led to Cody Rhodes capitalizing and pinning Cena to seal the win for himself and Jey Uso.

WWE has now launched new merchandise for R-Truth under the name Ron Killings. This has all but confirmed that the veteran performer's name has been officially changed.
It's safe to say we will witness a more serious version of Killings, unlike before, when he mostly worked in a comic role.
