WWE shared backstage footage of The Undertaker and Randy Orton during SummerSlam last night in Cleveland, Ohio. The Viper got involved in the main event between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa.
Cody Rhodes defended his Undisputed WWE Championship against Solo Sikoa in the main event of WWE SummerSlam in a Bloodline Rules match. The Bloodline interfered but Kevin Owens and Randy Orton showed up to even the odds. Roman Reigns returned at the end of the show and attacked Solo Sikoa.
The American Nightmare capitalized and hit Sikoa with the Cross Rhodes to retain the title. The promotion shared a video of The Undertaker and The Legend Killer having a conversation backstage last night, and you can check it out in the Instagram post below.
Randy Orton has had Cody Rhodes' back during his rivalry against The Bloodline in recent weeks on SmackDown. However, the veteran also appears to be keeping his eye on the Undisputed WWE Championship as well.
WWE veteran Randy Orton believes Austin Theory is a future world champion
SmackDown star Randy Orton recently claimed that Austin Theory has all of the tools required to be a world champion someday.
Theory is currently in a tag team with Grayson Waller known as A-Town Down Under. The duo lost the WWE Tag Team Championship to #DIY earlier last month. The Bloodline's Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga defeated Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa this past Friday night on SmackDown to become the new champions. Austin Theory appeared during SummerSlam last night but was Chokeslammed by country music artist Jelly Roll.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter last month, the veteran noted that it was hard to predict who would be successful in the wrestling business. Orton named Theory as someone with the potential to become a major champion down the line.
"It's hard, I don't have a crystal ball or anything, but Austin Theory is young and he's got a great look. I know where his head's at. I've had plenty of talks with him, and a lot of the things that I did as a kid that I maybe shouldn't have, the distractions that I was confronted with, he doesn't have those. I think he's just a little more gung-ho, motivated. He sees the goal, he sees the prize, he knows what he wants. I think he'll definitely be a world champion one day," Orton said.
