What's the story?
Chris Jericho shocked the world when he challenged Kenny Omega to a massive match for January 4th at the Tokyo Dome. He would show up at Fukuoka and attack Kenny Omega at the World Tag League Finals, ahead of their massive contest.
Never one to take an attack lightly, Omega would retaliate during a press conference. As Jericho was addressing the press, Omega would launch into him in a flurry of fists.
In case you didn't know...
Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks picked up a massive victory in Fukuoka, when the lights went out. Jericho would appear on the screen and congratulate the members of Bullet Club on a job well done.
Suddenly, the lights came back on, and lo and behold, Jericho was in the middle of the ring. Jericho delivered a codebreaker to Omega and busted him open, in the middle of the ring.
The heart of the matter
Fast forward to the Wrestle Kingdom 12 Press Conference where Jericho was explaining his actions from the night before when suddenly Kenny Omega would launch into him. The two men were then pulled apart, as Jericho regained his composure and addressed the media.
Jericho claimed that this wasn't a match about stars or how many times one could go through his finishers. Instead, this was a fight between Alpha and Omega and even though Jericho had been in Japan sixty times, this was the most important match he'd had in Japan.
What's next?
Kenny Omega and Chris Jericho are masters of their craft. They'll definitely keep the feud interesting going into Wrestle Kingdom 12. Expect old-school storytelling in its finest form.

I could not be more excited for this contest. How does Jericho always find a way to keep his character fresh, even though he changes it on an annual basis?
Alpha vs. Omega will certainly be a fight to remember.
