NWA has some good news for their fans

It's been nearly two weeks since National Wrestling Alliance announcer Jim Cornette resigned from his position as the company's color commentator. Cornette came under fire after he made a racist joke on an episode of NWA Powerrr. It came during a match between NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis and Trevor Murdoch:

Less than a day later Cornette announced his resignation from NWA. Now a replacement has been named. NWA making the announcement via Twitter, that former WWE Intercontinental Champion Stu Bennett (AKA Wade Barrett) will make his debut as a commentator on December, 14th at Into the Fire.

It didn't take long for the former Nexus leader to react to the announcement himself:

Barrett's tenure in WWE dates all the way back to the first season of NXT, where he was named the winner. Injuries kept him from ascending to the top of the division, but he still captured the Intercontinental Championship five times and won the King of the Ring Tournament.

He chose not to re-sign with WWE in 2015, and was ultimately released early from his contract.

Bennett returned to the wrestling business in 2017, taking on different roles for WCPW\Defiant Wrestling. In 2018 he became an executive and commentator for World of Sport Wrestling, which is still airing the first season across the globe.
