NXT UK Women's Championship match: Kay Lee Ray vs Meiko Satomura
The rivalry between NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray and her challenger Meiko Satomura is one that has been building for a while. The pair had previously faced off for the NXT UK Women's Championship back in March this year, which saw Ray come out on top and retain her title.
Satomura later replaced Xia Brookside in the women's gauntlet eliminator match to compete for a shot at the NXT UK Women's Championship, after Brookside was attacked by Amale. After Satomura won the match, Kay Lee Ray attacked her.
On tonight's NXT UK, the pair came together once more, with Kay Lee Ray putting her title on the line against the global superstar again. When the bell rang to signal the start of the match, the two women stared one another down, before Kay Lee Ray lunged at Meiko Satomura.
The pair then exchanged quick strikes in the center of the NXT UK ring. Ray quickly went for the gory bomb, but Satomura worked her way out of it. The action then spilled over to the outside of the ring, as Kay Lee Ray took out her frustrations on both Satomura and the barriers.
