Trent Seven vs Dave Mastiff in the semi-finals of the NXT UK Heritage Cup Tournament
For the final match of the match of the night, we get one half of Mustache Mountain and NXT UK stalwart Trent Seven vs Dave Mastiff in the semi-final of the Heritage Cup.
Round 1
They tie up, and the “Bomber” Dave Mastiff took instant control. A second tie-up would fall in Seven’s favour as he synched in a headlock. Mastiff would power out, and the two would go hell of leather with massive shoulder charges in the last few seconds of the first round.
Round 2
Mastiff laid into Seven with his knees and colossal a hip toss from the get-go. Seven was on the wrong side of several Irish whips but would shock Mastiff and get the first fall with a crucifix pin.
Round 3
Mastiff targeted Seven’s midsection again. Seven would mount a comeback with some vicious chops and a DDT for a near fall. He would go up top, but Mastiff would stop him and hit a bombastic superplex for a surprising two-count.
As the end of the third round would come, Mastiff showed why he is one of the toughest men in NXT UK and laid out Seven with a massive forearm, which the Moustache Mountain member sold to perfection.
Round 4
Mastiff would take advantage and hit a savage powerbomb and cannonball for the second pinfall making it all square.
Mastiff would miss another cannonball and after a struggle of strength Seven would hit a brutal burning hammer to secure a hard-fought win and progress to the Heritage Cup final.
After the match the other finalist, A-Kid, would come out, and the two would shake hands as this week's edition of NXT UK went off the air.
Result: Trent Seven beats Dave Mastiff to advance to the finals of the NXT UK Heritage Cup
