Opinion: Could Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson turn on AJ Styles?

H
Heel turn coming?

AJ Styles, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson are like brothers. They were like brothers when in the Bullet Club before joining WWE, and they have been like brothers since Luke and Karl first aided AJ in his rivalry with Roman Reigns in 2016.

This couldn't be more evident than last week's Smackdown when Karl took a Kinshasa from Shinsuke Nakamura, for AJ Styles, and later commented on Twitter:

''After everything AJ Styles has done for me and my family, I wouldn’t think twice about taking a bullet for him..''

Yes, AJ Styles and The Club are like brothers, but could all of this be leading to something else?

K
Karl took a 'bullet' for AJ, but could AJ take a turn from them?

We have been down this road before of AJ and The Club being a unit, where we saw them feud with Roman Reigns and John Cena, and although all three are babyfaces now, they as a trio may already be considered by some as having already been done to death. And while AJ Styles will always be incredibly popular, Gallows and Anderson tend to work better as heels, so why not a heel turn?

Gallows and Anderson turning heel on AJ Styles could be huge, especially if it was to form a new trio, with none other than AJ's new bitter rival, Shinsuke Nakamura. The Nakamura heel turn being a success is still up for debate, Shinsuke remains adamant that he 'No speak English', and while this will eventually be dropped, to make this heel turn even bigger, an alliance with Gallows and Anderson would help greatly as they could be Shinsuke's very physical interpreters.

The three of them together could rule over Smackdown as the shows top heels to feud with all comers, particularly both AJ Styles solo and AJ with back up.

So could Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson turn on AJ Styles? Well, why not, it could give them a much-needed boost from some lacklustre booking over the past year and the moment the turn happens would be every bit as memorable as when Shinsuke first lowblowed AJ at WrestleMania. And I can't imagine a better time to turn then the upcoming WWE Backlash event during the AJ Styles vs. Shisuke Nakamura WWE Championship rematch, with the good brothers attacking AJ during the match and costing him the WWE Championship!
