Up an coming WWE Superstar Paige took to social networking site Twitter to announce that she’s heading back to her hometown of Norwich to take a much needed break from a hectic schedule as well as spend time with her family – reports wrestlinginc.com.
Paige made the announcement shortly after WWE’s annual post WrestleMania tour of Europe drew to a close.
A break could be just what Paige needs as her career has taken somewhat of a slump since she burst onto the scene back in 2011. Ever since the Diva’s Division got rebranded into the WWE Women’s Division, Paige’s career has taken somewhat of a slump and only appeared in a small role as part of the recent renaming ceremony. Part of the blame for the slump rests with WWE, who accelerated her character too quickly which prevented her from creating her own identity, unlike some of her other rivals.
However, all is not lost, and the wrestler still has plenty of good years ahead of her.
The 23-year-old burst announced herself with a bang by winning two WWE Diva’s Championships within a span of a year and also holds the record for becoming the inaugural NXT Women’s Champion, creating history by becoming the youngest champion of the former as well as a holder of the NXT Championship as well as the Divas Championship at the same time.
