He's had matches with all of the top stars of the brand including Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Andrade, and AJ Styles. Is the faith in putting him in matches with a lot of the top stars of the show a precursor for the future or merely a test run?
Whatever his booking has shown, one thing is certain - Ali can deliver against practically anyone and even made his match with Randy Orton this past week enjoyable.

He showed a tendency to learn from everyone else's matches when he scouted Orton's infamous 'RKO outta nowhere' that we all expect to come nowadays.
Orton eventually prevailed over Ali so the writing is likely on the wall for Ali's chances in the chamber match. Like Hardy, he'll have a decent showing but will likely be one of the first ones eliminated.
