RAW Tag Team titles - Authors of Pain
Gone are the days when veteran teams like the Bar, the Usos and the New Day ruled the Monday night tag team scene. Instead in 2019 and 2020, the likes of the Street Profits, the AOP and the Viking Raiders are leading the division.
All three teams are more than capable of steering a division but it's just weird not to see one of the other three teams synonymous with titles at least in the RAW ranks. The Viking Raiders won the belts on October 14th on RAW. They are currently the longest-reigning RAW champs since the New Day's historic 400+ day reign that started in 2015 and ended in 2016.
Erik and Ivar are working on a run of almost 100 days and already just beat the Profits and the OC in a triple threat contest. One team that they haven't faced - and one that's getting a push - is Akam and Rezar. The benefit of working with Seth Rollins should net the AOP another title reign at some point.
As mentioned on the previous slide, tag teams don't get extremely long reigns anymore. Once AOP is done tormenting Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe, I think they'll go on a successful quest for gold. It also seems like the Street Profits are already supremely over with the crowd and might be contending for those titles at the Show of Shows. It just might be against Akam and Rezar.
