Predicting Raw's team for the men's 5-on-5 elimination tag team match against Smackdown Live

Survivor Series is on the horizon
Survivor Series is on the horizon

On November 19, WWE will host its final big four PPV of 2017, Survivor Series. The whole card literally represents the theme of brand supremacy, as Raw will face Smackdown in each match presented except maybe for a Cruiserweight Championship match.

Smackdown Live already has their first team member in "The Viper" -- Randy Orton. We all know that Kurt Angle could not announce the Raw team last week, as Shane McMahon and team blue invaded the flagship show. So this begs the question, who did Raw GM Kurt Angle had in his mind for his team at Survivor Series?

Read on as we give you our predictions:

#4 Finn Balor

The Demon King
The Demon King

Just when the WWE Universe grew tiresome of the feud between Bray Wyatt and Finn Balor, we get introduced to Sister Abigail. There was a sense of curiosity of what exactly will happen at TLC when The Demon meets Sister Abigail. But an unfortunate viral infection ruled Bray Wyatt out of the contest.

Enter AJ Styles. The man was called upon to fill in for the eater of worlds. And what a classic it was between two former Bullet Club leaders. Their match at TLC was a classic and only a glimpse of what they can do in the ring. Finn Balor emerged victoriously but lost to Kane on Raw the following night, after three chokeslams.

#3 Cesaro and Sheamus

The Swiss Cyborg and The Celtic Warrior
The Swiss Cyborg and The Celtic Warrior

If there is any tag team that proved anyone wrong in 2017, it has to be Cesaro and Sheamus. They've had epic battles with The Shield recently and does not have a scheduled match for Survivor Series. The former tag team champions would add some much-needed value to Raw's team. Cesaro has showcased what he can truly do in the ring if given enough time, and Sheamus is without a doubt one of the hardest working superstars in the WWE.

Considering Braun Strowman, Kane and Bray Wyatt will probably be unavailable because of illness or an existing rivalry, the former Raw Tag Team Champs will not be a bad choice at all.

#2 Roman Reigns

The Big Dog
The Big Dog

The biggest story heading into TLC 2017 was the reunion of The Shield, and everybody was looking forward to the handicap main event. But an unfortunate viral illness sustained by Roman Reigns brought The Shield reunion to a sudden halt. But if the latest rumours are anything to go by, Reigns will be ready to return to action just before Survivor Series.

Team Raw will benefit massively if The Big Dog joins the team to take on Smackdown Live. It will be the perfect opportunity to bring back Roman Reigns, as well as the perfect chance to kickstart a new feud with our final entry, should WWE decide to pull the plug on The Shield reunion which, by the way, I highly doubt.

#1 Samoa Joe

The Samoan Submission Machine

When the news broke that Samoa Joe was sidelined with a knee injury, it really caused a setback on Monday Night Raw. Joe brought what was needed in the modern product of WWE, even giving the Beast Brock Lesnar a run for his Universal Championship.

Rumours suggest that Joe is ready to return and what perfect way to return that representing your respective brand at Survivor Series. Having Samoa Joe on the team will also lead to dream match-ups from Smackdown's side such as Joe and Styles, Joe and Orton or even Joe and Roode.

The excitement for Survivor Series is increasing as the days and weeks go by and we can not wait to see what unfolds when team red clashes with team blue at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.
