Following a backstage altercation at the weekend that saw former WWE Superstar Big Cass reportedly get kicked out of a Wrestle Pro show following an incident with Joey Janela and SCU, the former NXT man has issued a heartbreaking statement about his current situation, via former tag team partner Enzo Amore.

In the statement, Cass states that he "let his demons get the better of him" and that he "ruined an important evening for a very great guy." Cass confirmed that he is working incredibly hard to overcome an ongoing battle with depression, stating that he is getting help from family and friends, and will be seeking professional help.

The former WWE Superstar apologized to Kevin Mathews, Pat Buck, Joey Janela, and the entire WrestlePro locker room, before stating that he will be taking time away and hints that may never re-emerge as a public figure.

Cass also takes inspiration from Tyson Fury in the statement - a world-famous boxer who has also suffered from depression - before posting an uplifting message. "Remember, I ain't dead yet. And neither are you."

What actually happened with Big Cass at Wrestle Pro?

According to PWInsider, it was reported that Big Cass was supposed to be a surprise for the Battle Royal before backstage personnel stated that the former WWE Superstar was acting "aggressive" and "erratic" during the event.

It's also reported that Big Cass confronted Janela over the Blink-182 incident with Nzo, with rumors rife that the altercation became physical.

It's also claimed that Cass spat in Pat Buck's face before Buck, now employed by WWE, punched Big Cass in the face, allowing other wrestlers to detain him and await for police officers to escort Cass from the building.

It's reported that an ambulance was called to take Cass to a hospital.
