Projected Winners: WWE's Mr and Mrs. Money in the Bank Drew McIntyre & Zelina Vega

These projected winners will certainly have people buzzing, as the current favorites are Big E and Alexa Bliss. However, when one thinks about it for a second, McIntyre and Vega as winners makes the most sense.

Vega was released from her contract with WWE last November, after a dispute over WWE's control of her Twitch account and other "Third-Party Affliations".

After some intense fan backlash, and Vega being extremely vocal on voicing her displeasure with the way she was released, many fans assumed that WWE and Vega would simply never find each other again.

But, to everyone's surprise earlier this month, Vega returned to WWE on the SmackDown brand, immediately declaring herself a participant in the Women's Money in the Bank match.

For Vega to come back, WWE had to prove to her that they would use her to her full potential as an in-ring competitor, and what better way to do that than to give her the MITB briefcase.

Vega's current character would work perfectly as Ms. Money in the Bank; and both her winning the case, as well as her eventual cash-in, would cement her as a main event star in WWE's women's division.

When it comes to the men, Drew McIntyre is both the safest bet and the one that WWE most needs. Right now, there are almost zero threats to Bobby Lashley or Roman Reigns' titles.

But if McIntyre is lurking in the shadows and ready to strike at a moment's notice, WWE has more flexibility with its creative strategy for both champions. Reigns and Lashley can continue to dominate, but if WWE sees things getting stale? BOOM, Claymore, and McIntyre is back in the picture.

Depending on how the MITB contract sits with McIntyre's stipulation that he can't challenge for the WWE Title as long as Lashley has it, that is.

Also an eventual cash-in and possible title win, by McIntyre gives the Scottish Psychopath the championship victory that he deserves to have in front of a live WWE crowd.

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, he was robbed of this moment at WrestleMania 36. But with WWE back on the road and an MITB briefcase firmly in hand, that moment can happen anytime and anywhere.
